| July 2003 McNair Research and Ingenuity Research Have Merged For two years, McNair Research have worked side-by-side with Ingenuity Research, sharing office space and interviewing facilities. Now the two businesses have fully integrated to form one new company, McNair Ingenuity Research Pty Ltd. The new organisation is set to become one of the larger market research firms in the Australian market, and a leader in customised media research in Australia. In fact, our history goes back to the beginning of modern Market Research. Bill McNair initiated the first radio audience studies in 1934 and formally registered McNair Surveys in 1944. Through the 70s and 80s McNair Anderson supplied the TV and radio ratings, as well as the national readership survey. In fact, the organisation so dominated the 1990 industry that the industry wage award was named after the `AGB McNair Group and Others'. Today McNair Ingenuity offer:
