What is an Omnibus?

An omnibus survey provides the opportunity to gather the results of a few questions by means of a shared cost telephone survey. McNair Ingenuity Research run an omnibus survey every second week. As a client of the survey, you nominate the questions you require, and these are incorporated into the overall survey, together with the questions of other clients, and a shared set of demographic questions. Each client is only privy to their own questions and their own results, although the results of the demographic questions are provided for cross-analysis purposes to all clients.

Sampling & Quality Control

The sample for McNair Ingenuity Research is generated from a national database of the residential white pages phone books—using a rigorous randomisation procedure so that you can be sure the sample is representative. A multiple callback procedure is used to ensure that harder-to-reach groups of the community are included. All interviewing is conducted from our supervised call centres according to the standards of the industry watchdog—Interviewer Quality Control Australia.

Ease of use

A McNair Ingenuity consultant will help work out the wording of your questions and get your approval on these before proceeding. The results are reported in the form of a graphical management summary and detailed tabular results.
